O'Detta was born in New York City and raised in the Bronx by a family of entrepreneurs, so she got an early start in her real estate career. As a teenager she learned how to negotiate and close deals. After attending Herbert H. Lehman University she relocated to the Washington DC metropolitan area for 15 years, and then Fort Lauderdale, Florida for six years where she managed Hyatt and Marriott Hotels and large apartment communities for the Lerner Corporation and Mid-America Apartment Communities. O'Detta became an expert in real estate in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Fort Lauderdale, FL as she studied those markets during her time residing within those states.

After over twenty years of property management she returned to her New York City roots to begin to share her real estate talent with her fellow New Yorkers from relocation to sales and rentals. O'Detta is energetic, passionate, and dedicated to her clients and their needs. She will go beyond the call of duty to assure that her clients not only find the perfect home, but also to make the right decision at the closing table.
