This is one of those perfect little places that just works!! When it all started coming together as the owners were building & developing their wonderful little get away. They said it all just worked out, everything just seems right!! To me when I first saw this wonderful enchanting little oasis it felt like waking up at Grandma's place on Christmas morning! It just all feels fantastic & when you come to look, you will understand! It all started back in the early 80's when the owners purchased the land, hacked their trails, put up feeders & hunting stands, blinds etc. It was a labor of love literally by the Love family. Camping at first, then along about 1988 the Loves decided they needed a more permanent structure that would accommodate their need for a comfortable yet affordable getaway and hunting lodge. Piece by piece the cabin was hauled back into the woods & the little cabin in the woods grew to maturity. The little cozy cabin boasts a very comfortable and cozy 500 sq ft of nostalgic inside living space with a very scenic 8'x16' front porch overlooking the nearly 3-acre lake out front. Along in the early 90's somewhere around 92 Mr. Love decided to build a lake in the canyon just south of their little cabin. He needed a water well to make life more comfortable while staying at the cabin on weekends & days off work while he created the oasis that he envisioned! The water well driller hit good water at 137 ft deep. Mr. Love had all the water he could use. Along the way as the days passed things just kept coming together. Love Lake was finished around 40 ft deep at the dam in late 1992. Obviously Love Lake is spring fed since it holds water like a jug. The water level fluctuates very little. As time passed an outhouse was built for creature comforts, a couple little 4'x8' storage buildings, a little solar system was installed, things just went together & seemed to compliment itself creating a fabulous little hunting compound & family getaway. Speaking of hunting, the lake is stocked with channel catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, blue gill perch & there are some lunkers in Love Lake just waiting for a crafty angler to try to outsmart them. The hunting is phenomenal in the area with a good population of white-tail deer, black bear & eastern wild turkey, enough to make any outdoorsman a very happy camper. If you are wanting that black bear skin rug to adorn your cabin this is the right place. There is apparently a very nice population of black bear here too. There is also that occasional wild hog. There is an additional 20 acres of land that can be purchased along with the 40 acres, cabin & Love Lake if you feel you need more to stretch your legs on! Many a happy holiday & hunting/fishing adventures has been spent here and many, many, many memories and good times. But unfortunately, there always comes a time when it's time to pass the torch to the next lucky owner. This description was told to me by Mrs. Love almost verbatim! If this wonderfully enchanting little paradise seems interesting to you, please give the listing agent a call for your private tour! You will be glad you did!!
