I was born and raised in Salina, Kansas, a place where history is woven into the landscape and stories are passed down through generations. My own connection to Kansas history runs deep—my sixth great-uncle, Wilson Shannon, served as the second Territorial Governor of Kansas, helping shape the state during its earliest and most turbulent years. That sense of heritage sparked a lifelong fascination with history, preservation, and place.
Over the years, I’ve pursued that passion as an author and historian. I have written several books about Joyland Amusement Park in Wichita, preserving the memory of a beloved but now-defunct landmark. I’ve also authored books on Kansas ghost towns and written local historical novels centered on Kansas pioneers and forgotten communities. Beyond writing, I’ve spent countless hours researching, documenting, and advocating for the preservation of abandoned private cemeteries, historic sites, and overlooked landmarks—places that often tell the most honest stories of our past.
That passion ultimately led me to real estate. For me, real estate is more than buying and selling property—it’s about stewardship. Historic homes, unique properties, and privately owned landmarks deserve representation from someone who understands their value beyond square footage and price.
Today, I am a licensed Realtor in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Kansas, proudly affiliated with Dalton Wade Real Estate Group in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and HomeSmart Legacy in Kansas. I currently reside in North Alabama, but I love traveling throughout the states where I’m licensed, helping clients buy, sell, and invest with confidence.
Whether you’re drawn to history, seeking a one-of-a-kind property, or simply looking for a Realtor who truly listens, I bring dedication, knowledge, and care to every transaction—because every place has a story worth protecting.
