Stihl Smith grew up on a farm in Caldwell Parish, where he still resides with his wife, Kennedy. Stihl graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Both sides of Stihl's family are in the timber business; therefore, he has grown up learning the skill of buying and selling timberland throughout Louisiana.
