Tom Monaghan is a licensed broker in Mississippi and Alabama and a registered forester in Mississippi. He brings more than 40 years of personal and professional experience in real estate, buying, selling, and managing land. Throughout his career, he has held a wide range of roles that deepened his expertise in land management and natural resources, including Soil Conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farm and Timber Manager for more than 5,000 acres, Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Forest Service, Professor and Extension Leader in Mississippi State University’s Department of Forestry, Program Coordinator for the Mississippi Forestry Association, State Coordinator for the Mississippi Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and State Administrator of the Mississippi Tree Farm Program.
A graduate of Mississippi State University, Tom served on the faculty for nearly 30 years before retiring as Professor Emeritus. He has extensive experience working with landowners and land management professionals and led the development of outreach and continuing education programs covering land, timber, and natural resource management. His areas of expertise include taxation, management, marketing, and investment analysis. Tom has dedicated his career to helping landowners and land managers make informed decisions.
Today, Tom leverages decades of hands-on experience and professional expertise to assist buyers and sellers of farms, timberland, recreational properties, and rural investments. His lifelong connection to the land and deep understanding of ownership, management, and conservation allow him to offer guidance that extends well beyond a typical real estate transaction.
