Lynis McCrimmon, a scientist, educator, and entrepreneur who has always admired real estate from a far. Lynis was born and raised in the Washington Metropolitan Area but her first career started when she was accepted into King?s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. King?s College afforded her a Bachelor?s degree in Biology and a certificate in Secondary Education.

Lynis? experience as an educator ranged from elementary school students to adult learners in science, math, reading and writing. As an educator, Lynis has written curriculum, participated in committees that worked to improve school policies, taught both summer school, night school, homebound and high school equivalency curriculum, and was a team player to create a healthy, safe environment for students. Knowledge of the whole student is the key to being a successful educator. Lynis also coached lacrosse, basketball, sponsored multiple clubs, accompanied students on field trips, and assisted students with big and small dilemmas on countless occasions. The fondness and belief Lynis had for student learning led her to seek a Master?s degree in Secondary Education from Cabrini College.

Although education provided a fulfilling career, Lynis stepped out of her comfort zone and matriculated to New England College to earn a Master?s in Business with an emphasis on real estate. Since receiving that degree, she has helped countless small businesses save money through budgeting, increase personal credit and establish business credit, open the door to government contracting, and created connections to financial expansion. Lynis has also taught financial literacy and homeownership courses.

Education, experience, passion, intuition, and wit have made Lynis? career distinguished. Education and business are much more related than she realized. The background that Lynis obtained from teaching and interacting with students was a beneficial precursor to earning a business degree. As she now embarks upon a career in real estate, Lynis will continue to look for ways to integrate experiences in education with the world of real estate. Lynis plans to service the residents of Harlem on the Westside and eventually migrate to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, concentrating on both rentals and sales.
