Born and raised in Serbia, Maria graduated from law school there prior to relocating to the U.S. She also attended the University of Granada, Spain for a year as a European Union Scholar, studying human rights and European Union law. She currently resides in Sag Harbor. Maria has experience in international law, and she worked as a paralegal for a Southampton real estate law office before entering the real estate business. She is a licensed real estate salesperson. "I am excited to be working for Saunders," she says, "a successful local company with an impressive record of success and continued great potential." Prior to joining Saunders & Associates in 2015 she was with Douglas Elliman. Maria enjoys being involved in real estate and the many opportunities to meet and communicate with people. She is fluent in Spanish and Serbian in addition to English. Outside the office Maria volunteers for EurAupair, a nonprofit organization that connects international au pairs with host families in the U.S., where they spend a year providing childcare while furthering their education here. As community counsel, Maria's work involves problem solving and assisting communication for au pairs and their host families.
