I call this sustainable living. We call this house "The Bottle House" because it is made of thousands of bottles. It has everything you need to live in the desert comfortably. There is wi-fi, solar power, water catchment, and even landlines for the telephone. These folks built it in 2010 and are continuing to improve it.. This is not an "Earthship House' as it has no tires involved in the construction. I am amazed at the many variations of "Off Grid" living there & I have never seen anything like this where everything you can think of is available on this property. The incredible home offers a large attached greenhouse where they grow food. There are RV campsites and two nice comfy cabins with electricity, water & flushing toilets. Our office has a detailed list of all the plumbing, electric, and everything you would like or need to know about managing this property should you decide to be the new owner. The RV and campsites plus the cabins generate a good income. Just to name a few of the desert plants, There are 2 Yucca Rostrada here one of them is multi-headed. There are about 15 Yucca Thompson; several are multi-headed specimen plants. Agave, neomexicana (15+). Blue Agave (20). Desert Museum Palo Verde trees (3). Palo Verde trees, around ten. One non-native Joshua Tree, Over 20 endangered "Living Rock" cacti. Over 100 Golden Barrel cacti, Pride of Barbados, and even a cottonwood tree. For photography, you will see all kinds of native wildlife, deer, quail, hogs, and, on occasion, elk that may roam through the neighborhood's large ranches. It is legal to hunt on your property, but we recommend a larger property for safe conditions. If you use Google Earth Pro, the GPS Coordinates will take you to the very spot. The Lat & Long is put in at the lefthand corner of the map, and you will just hit search. There is abundant wildlife, deer, audad, quail, and many other desert creatures. Our skies here are dark and a favorite for astronomers and night photography. For rock hunters, this property has some unique formations. This location is private and offers dark skies for nighttime viewing of the galaxies. It is close to the National Park and State Park. You can build what you want, when, and if you want, with No restrictions. It is recommended to get a survey before building anything permanent. Our office will take you to the corners as we have them mapped out, but we are not surveyors. We look forward to meeting you! Be sure to ask us any questions and we will try to get you the answers.
