This is tract 4809, in Block 216, Section 2, 40 Acres located in Big Bend Valley of Terlingua Ranch. Being gird means no water wells or electricity. Folks use water catchment and solar for utilities or you can use a generator. The National Parks used water catchment to make water available for the wildlife years ago. With solar, you have sun almost all the time and plenty of folks can assist you in putting this together. Terlingua Ranch has no restrictions except for lights that keep our dark skies "DARK" so we do not have any light pollution. Star gazing is a big pastime for astronomers, professional & amateur alike. So bring your telescopes, cameras, and sleeping bags (that is what we did when I was little). You will find the staff at the lodge helpful and friendly. There is a main office, cabins, cafe, RV & Tent camping, and a dirt runway for those who choose to fly in. There are no gas sales at the ranch. Gas sales are only in Alpine & Study Butte. There are also charging stations for electric cars but I do not know how many. Alpine has about 5 charging stations on 118 South just past the football station. Please call us in advance to schedule a showing and bring your high-clearance auto. 4-wheel drive is not necessary.
